I had an epiphany during a programming course I took on a whim at Portland Community College, where I thought I was studying Biology: I realized I could control my computer by typing commands into a terminal 🤯. I immediately stayed up all night writing a script to automatically catalog my chaotic MP3 downloads folder to my exacting but by no means obsessive standards. From that night on, I was a programmer.

I completed my Computer Science degree at Portland State University while working as a clerk and page in Multnomah County Libraries, graduating in 2016. Since then, I professionally build industry-grade plots and user interfaces for spectrum analyzers, primarily in C++.

When not playing in spontaneously formed drum circles with my two-year-old son, I am probably recording music or learning something new.
